Mark Baker has spent over twenty years as an analyst and research consultant, first covering equities in the fund management industry, and then more broadly across the financial services industry helping companies create thought leadership campaigns in the UK and internationally. His work includes the Janus Henderson Global Dividend Index, the J O Hambro UK Profit Index and, of course, the Fund Flow Indices for Calastone, both in the UK and Australia. Mark’s column Macro Money appears monthly in the i newspaper, in which he unpacks knotty financial and economic themes for a consumer finance audience. He founded 5i Research UK in 2020.

Adam is a technology leader with over twenty years of experience across financial services, including in investment banking, payments, wealth management and asset management. He joined Calastone from Aegon where he was the Head of Architecture and Development for Cofunds, the UK’s largest platform. Prior to that he led FX Options Front to Back IT for BNP Paribas, delivering a new global trading platform.

Adam has also worked as a consultant on enterprise engagements for various businesses, including JP Morgan Chase, Lloyds Banking Group and the London Stock Exchange. Adam holds bachelors and masters degrees in computer science and artificial intelligence.

Alan is currently Senior Advisor to The Funds Board Council and CEO of Glendevon Capital.

He is a qualified chartered accountant, involved in publishing and business as Managing Director for over 30 years. He was Publisher of Funds Europe, Funds Global MENA and Funds Global Asia from 2002 until the end of 2021. He co-founded Funds Europe in 2002 while he was Managing Director of Union Press Limited from 2001 until 2007.

He was Managing Director of Union Press, publishers of The Drinks Business, Golf Club Management and Funds Europe until 2007. Prior to that he was Managing Director of Harper Trade Journals Limited for five years from 1996.

Previously he was commercial adviser to Lipper Analytical Europe, publisher of The European Fund Directory, and a director of Professional and Business Information Plc, publisher of the UK Fund Review & Industry Directory.

CEO, Lumax Consulting

Peter is currently CEO of Lumax Consulting in addition to Chair, Behaviour Lab, Vice President, Belgian Finance Center, Advisor, Multchain Asset Management Association and Strategic Advisor, InvesTao. He is also Honorary Director General of EFAMA.
He spent 11 years from 2007 to 2018 as Director General of The European Fund & Asset Management Association based in Brussels.

Prior to this CEO of Fortis Investments in Belgium and has held senior positions at Banque Nagelmackers and Petercam as well as in Public Service.

A qualified lawyer he has also participated as an expert in working groups with ESMA, EMMI, EPFSF and the EU.

Martin Gilbert

Chairman, Revolut Ltd and AssetCo

Martin is Chairman of fintech giant, Revolut Limited, and AssetCo, an asset and wealth management business.

He was the Chief Executive of Aberdeen Asset Management PLC, which he co-founded in 1983. Under his leadership, Aberdeen became one of the world’s leading independent asset managers through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Aberdeen merged with Standard Life in 2017 to form Standard Life Aberdeen (SLA). Following the merger, Martin was appointed co-Chief Executive Officer, a role he stepped down from in March 2019. Martin was Vice Chairman of the group from March 2019 until May 2020.

Martin, who was born in Malaysia, earned an MA in accountancy and a LLB in law from the University of Aberdeen. After qualifying as a chartered accountant with Deloitte, he joined the investment department of local law firm Brander & Cruickshank, which went on to become Aberdeen Asset Management.

Before joining Calastone, Edward spent nine years at SWIFT, most recently heading up the 100m transaction funds business across EMEA and leading the regional sales team managing SWIFT’s investment management, custody and asset servicing offerings.

Prior to this, Edward spent a number of years in key commercial and strategic roles at Investia – former parent of JPMorgan FundsHub, ERI Bancaire, Thomson Financial and Tajan.

Since Julien joined Calastone, the business has grown from being a solely UK domestic business to establishing connectivity across 49 countries and territories, with offices in the UK, Europe, Asia and Australia.

Before joining Calastone, Julien led Corham Capital, a global investment advisory firm that he founded in 2007. Prior to this Julien held several leadership positions at institutional brokerage Instinet Group, where he ran the European segment of the global equities business before assuming responsibility for global equities in the UK, Europe and all international business in the US and Asia. Julien began his career at Lombard Odier as a US Equities trader.

Futurist Anne Lise Kjaer holds the honorary title of Copenhagen Goodwill Ambassador, and in 2018 she was appointed to the IPE (International Panels of Experts) for Singapore’s Urban Development Authority. An entrepreneur, she founded the Trend Management agency Kjaer Global in 1988. Clients include Amazon, BBC, Dell, E&Y, Generali, Huawei, IKEA, KPMG, Oracle, RBS, Salesforce, Swiss Life, Visa, Volvo, EU, OECD, Wired.

Ed brings more than 25 years’ experience in the asset management, wealth management and private banking industry – holding sales and revenue leadership positions in New York, London, Tokyo and Hong Kong with leading global fintech firms; JHC (now FNZ) OpenLink (now Ion Trading) and SunGard (now FIS). As Chief Revenue Officer at JHC Lopez was a key contributor to the successful acquisition of JHC by FNZ.

Will Lucken is Global Head of Product at Janus Henderson Investors, accountable for the organization’s suite of products and services across retail and institutional channels globally and oversees the firm’s global product and strategy development efforts. Prior to JHI, Mr. Lucken was Global head of products at Allianz Global Investors. Before that, he spent ten years at BlackRock in roles including Managing Director, European Products, Transfer Agency Oversight and Fund Accounting Oversight. Mr. Lucken began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Mr. Lucken received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Reading. He is an ICAEW Chartered Accountant and has 24 years of financial industry experience.

Global Head of Product, Solutions and Quant, Schroders

Carolina Minio Paluello is Global Head of Product, Solutions and Quant at Schroders. Carolina joined Schroders in 2019 and is based in London.

Prior to joining Schroders, Carolina was Global Head of Solutions at Lombard Odier from 2013-2019. From 2011-2013 she served as the Head of EMEA for Equity and Private Investor Solutions at Citigroup Investments Inc. From 2009-2011 Carolina was EMEA Head of Private Investor Product Group in the Securities Division at Goldman Sachs. Prior to this Carolina was Managing Director for Quantitative Investment Strategies at Goldman Sachs Asset Management from 2000-2009.

Qualifications: PhD in Finance from London Business School, Master’s degree in finance from Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium and Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Université Libre de Bruxelles.

Prior to joining Calastone, Henning held a number of senior roles with RBC where he developed their Investor & Treasury Services businesses in the European Union and Asia-Pacific.

Henning speaks six languages. He began his career at Euroclear in Belgium, where he managed key clients across multiple geographies.

Massimo is currently Chairman of M & G Group Limited as well as a Non Executive Director of M & G PLC. He is also a member of the Board of Overseers at Columbia Business School, NYC; Non Executive of Banca Intermobilare (BIM) as well as an Advisor of Trilantic Europe.

Since leaving Schroders in 2016 he was an Independent Director at Pictet Asset management and a shareholder and CEO of Quaestio Capital Management.

Up to 2016 for 21 years he held senior positions at Schroders, latterly as CEO of Schroder Investment Management and Vice Chairman of Schroders PLC for 10 years.

Prior to Schroders he was CEO of Euromercantile, CEO of Cominvest and Chairman of Tonic.

Massimo has been involved in numerous educational, art and trade bodies such as EFAMA (Vice President), IRSG, TheCityUK, Council for the United States and Italy and Parasol Unit Foundation for Contemporary Art in London.

He remains a shareholder in Credimi Spa, a specialist digital supply chain financer as well as a Founding Partner in Tenuta Villa Pinciana, a Super Tuscan wine and olive oil producing family estate.

Director Markets and Securities Services, HSBC

Rajeev Tummala is a Director in Digital and Data team for HSBC’s Markets & Securities Services. He is based in Singapore and is involved in shaping up the roadmap for supporting Digital Assets within Securities Services Business. He led HSBC’s efforts on their collaboration with SGX and Temasek on the Fixed Income Securities tokenisation platform. He is engaged with clients, Financial Market Infrastructure providers on distributed ledger technology related projects for securities issuance and associated asset servicing.

He joined HSBC in 2018 and was with Bank of America Merrill Lynch for 10 years prior to joining HSBC. He has worked in various markets in Asia with the Markets and Securities Services business lines thru out his career. Rajeev has an MBA (High Honors’) from Booth School of Business, University of Chicago and a Bachelor of Engineering from BITS-Pilani in India.

Josh joined Calastone in 2016. He is responsible for defining Calastone's product vision for the future of asset management, with a particular focus and interest in Tokenisation, Digital Asset Management, ESG and Impact Investing.

Josh is part of a team of technology and industry experts who are working to develop new models and solutions for the funds industry.

Nasir is the CEO of The LHoFT Foundation. He sits on the IMF’s High Level Advisory Group for Finance and Technology and the OECD’s Blockchain Expert Policy Advisory Board. Nasir has worked in Financial Services for 24 years. He spent 13 years working in the front office within Capital Markets at RBS, ICAP, HSBC and EBS and he has been a Non-Executive Board director at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) S.A., the leading Scandanavian Bank. He is a signatory for several patents related to FX electronic trading that revolutionised liquidity and market access.

Nasir has been immersed in the Fintech and startup sector since 2011. As an entrepreneur, Nasir has built multiple Fintech businesses, both B2B and B2C, focused on lending, banking and payments. He has advised the boards of leading financial institutions, central banks and governments.
