Key Responsibilities
- Understand the overall new feature set for your product against the vision set by the Product Manager and Head of Product and in-line with our company strategy
- Plan and priorities the product feature backlog, working closely with the Product Manager to ensure alignment
- Work closely with the Business Analysis team to translate and articulate product requirements into acceptable increments to be delivered by technology
- Collaborate with your development partners within Product, Technology (PMO, Engineering) and the teams in Client Delivery and Operations to lead delivery, adoption and success of your Products
- Accept each product increment during the Agile sprint process
- Be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for your products – representing Calastone at industry events when required
- Work with the Product Manager to provide a dashboard of your products to the Product Steering Committee, with attendees from the senior leadership team (C-level leaders) to ensure speedy and transparent decision making enabling efficient development and enhancement of the Product portfolio
- Support Client meetings, investigating client needs and establishing views on new features for your products to meet them
- Keep up to date on industry best practices and input into the regular Agile steering committee
Required Knowledge & Experience
The technical knowledge required for the Product function includes but is not limited to:
- Software development lifecycle in an Agile environment
- Microsoft office suite; Salesforce
The business knowledge desired/required for the Product function includes but is not limited to:
- Required
- Quality and service focused – taking pride in the performance of your products and the service levels they achieve
- Experience in a Product Management/Development role
- Have a track record of product optimization, showing how products have achieved growth under your ownership
- Experience in fund administration or asset management with senior roles within product or operations
- Direct experience of Agile development processes and able to evangelize its adoption
- Stakeholder Management and influence with some experience of operating with C-level leaders
- Able to follow and suggest improvements to, a disciplined Product development process
- Rich history of client/customer-led Product development, with examples of executions based on client/customer needs, insights and testing
- Recognised as a great communicator – succinct, clear, direct and transparent in your interactions with peers, management style and clients

- Experience in the Fintech/Financial Services industry an advantage
- Knowledge of the roles and actors involved within funds distribution and the functions within a fund management company
- Experience in a regulatory-influenced industry with understanding of the role of the regulator; Market practice
