Calastone, the global funds transaction network, today announces the appointment of James Donaldson as Chief Financial Officer.
James brings significant experience to Calastone having previously served as Chief Financial Officer of the Soros-backed digital solutions provider Ciklum, leading all aspects of finance, corporate development, legal and compliance.
Prior to this he worked for the Travelocity Group in numerous roles, including Global CFO, but also as COO for Europe and Asia, and CFO for lastminute.com, managing all aspects of financial control, planning, and compliance. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1995.
With the recent launch of Calastone’s blockchain-enabled Distributed Market Infrastructure for funds, Donaldson will play a key role in developing the business as clients start to leverage the enhancements made possible through the new technology.
