British investors have opted for ESG funds over the last three years more enthusiastically than any other category of investment fund, according to a special edition of the Fund Flow Index from Calastone, the largest global funds network.
Key highlights from this special edition of the FFI:
- ESG funds see stronger demand than any other investment category
- Blue Planet 2 in 2017 seems to have catalysed dramatic growth in demand for ESG investment, with inflows rising 37-fold
- Calastone Fund Flow Index, FFI:ESG shows a stronger reading than any other fund category since middle of 2017
- Relative to assets under management, demand for ESG equity funds has been 17x greater than regular equity funds
