Product Manager______

Product Manager is a leadership role within the Product team with responsibility for shaping Calastone’s strategy and products in the Transaction Services and Network space. The role holder will be instrumental in shaping the design and direction of our strategic Settlements & Payments product, as well as being responsible for day-to-day management of the existing product portfolio and the associated product development activity. This includes conducting market analysis, soliciting client feedback, defining and prioritising work for the development team, and assessing product performance against financial targets.​

You will encourage idea generation from your partners in Sales, Operations, Marketing and Technology and, crucially, directly with clients.  You will join specialists in the Sales team in co-creation sessions with clients, aimed at understanding their needs and working on potential solutions collaboratively – keeping scalability and repeatability of the solution front of mind.

You own the strategy and applicability of your products, working with key stakeholders to take them through from ideation to in-life management and ongoing commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

Own and manage the strategy and product development for your domain, in alignment with the overall product strategy and vision set by C-Suite, and with our company strategy

Oversee the commercial viability of your product domain, ensuring product level budgets and sales targets are set and achieved in line with corporate goals; monitor and optimize your products to maximize chances of success, including profitability

Collaborate with your development partners within Technology and the client-facing teams in Sales, Operations and Marketing to ensure delivery, adoption and success of your Products

Represent Calastone as thought pioneers at industry events, presenting the vision to industry front runners

Assist Sales in Client meetings; investigating client needs and establishing views on new product capabilities to meet them

Work with the Corporate Development and Strategy team to explore partnership and inorganic opportunities that can accelerate the Digital Investment roadmap and plan. Be the face of those interactions and take ownership of driving those partnerships forward.

Undertake regular, in-depth competitor research, gaining insights into the extent of your competitive edge and how to maintain it, as well as threats to our positions from “one stop shop” platforms and service providers.

Guide and manage work of your direct reports team, consisting of Product Owners and Business Analysts​

Required Knowledge & Experience

Experience in Financial Services industry required, with roles in Transfer Agency, Platform and Fund operations preferred

Experience and understanding of roles and actors involved within funds distribution and the functions within a fund management company

Deep experience in product development fundamentals, with strong analytics and structured, data-driven approach

Thrive in a fast-paced, product-oriented environment and can meet deadlines under tight time constraints

Demonstrated thought leadership and effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to influence at all levels in the organization

Experience managing cross-functional teams and motivating them to go the extra mile

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requirements, deadlines, and projects

Deep Knowledge of Lean and Agile software development processes
